Hi Meadowlark I'm Alex adding to the feast of new blood, bringing in Eugenides from the book series Queen's Thief.
Gen is the main character of a series of YA novels, so he's about nineteen but has Way Too Many Experiences. Queen's Thief is sort of like much more PG-13 version of A Song of Ice and Fire, in that it's very low-magic fantasy with a strong emphasis on politics and intrigue, and a lot of Mediterranean flavor. I'm taking him from The King of Attolia if you're familiar.
Eugenides is a thief and very good at it, and comes with the requisite amount of swashbuckling gall and sharp humor. He's also very whiny, ill-equipped for future technologies, and will complain about everything being much harder to steal in the future. (What happened to coins, what was wrong with coins.) His power is phasing.
I'm Alex and I am a grad student in history. My interests include comic books, my cat, and spending too much time making pretentious journal codes.
