Hello, everyone -- this is Court and I'm bringing Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series into the game! I'm brand new to Meadowlark, but I will admit that I've been reading some of the recent posts to get an idea of what the game is like, and I'm super excited to jump in and join the fun.



In case you don't know anything about Kingdom Hearts, it's a weird crossover of Disney and Final Fantasy properties, and Sora here is the main protagonist of the series. It's ultimately about the forces of light fighting the forces of darkness, but it's a series that's spanned many years and has a lot of characters, twists, turns, and Nomura's special brand of plotting. I don't want to give too much away, but when it comes to Sora, he's an upbeat and excitable teenager who wants to befriend everyone (who isn't straight-up evil, anyway) and who's got a lot of experiencing fighting things and traveling to a variety of different worlds. He'll definitely be curious about what's going on in New Amsterdam and also want to get to know everyone.

As for me, feel free to add me on Plurk at demonology (just give a head's up so I know you who are!). I talk about RP, video games (lately FFXIV, also Overwatch), my cats, and sometimes RL things on there.

Oh, and one more thing! Sora's from the end of Kingdom Hearts III, and I know there are probably people who haven't gotten the chance to play it. I have a spoiler opt-out post over here, so please head over there and let me know if you want me to avoid spoilers in our threads!

This is Alison (player of Keith and Clarke) bringing in my third character: Riku of Kingdom Hearts fame.



If you don't know the deal with Riku, here's a quick rundown: Riku is the deuteragonist of the Kingdom Hearts series, generally serving as the grounded balance to Sora's arc (which is lighter and happier). He starts off the series as an antagonist and then goes on a major journey to overcome his guilt from that while trying to figure out the best way to protect his friends. He has a tenuous relationship with darkness (think: dark side of the Force, since that is 100% what Nomura uses to influence most of his writing), but is pretty chill with it now. Think angsty character who's now a lot happier, but he's thoughtful, grounded, and observant. Which is ... the opposite of Sora. In like every way.

As for spoilers: the great majority of Riku's arc is complete by Dream Drop Distance (which came out in 2012), but I am bringing him from the end of KH3. Since there are still some wild spoilers, here's a post to opt out. While Court and I plan on tagging all of our threads with spoilers when they come up, I generally recommend that you don't read anything from Riku and Sora one-on-one if you're ever poking around and hoping to not be spoiled!

His name is Wei Wuxian, from a Chinese novel ( and comic, and animation now ) called “The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation”, and he’s basically the equivalent of a necromancer in his canon! He also devolved from joyful fun-loving maniac to a paranoid and vengeful monster before he ultimately got dead-ed by all his old allies. Not that he has any of those powers ( or old allies ) here and now, and not that his reputation will, like, precede him… haa.

So, Wei Wuxian died about thirteen years prior to the series and recently had his soul brought back into the body of a sadlad named Mo Xuanyu, who’s identity he will be using in Meadowlark for the foreseeable future. He’s a cultivator, which is basically a class of immortality-seeking gentleman-scholars of ancient China, enjoy teaching him how to function in a high-tech society… please help him. His power for the game is hypnotic music, where he can use music to command folks into obeying him. Oh yeah, he also has a crippling fear of dogs.

I’m looking forward into settling on into the game soon -- it’s my birthday weekend, so I may be late to the arrival log -- but, you can catch me on the game’s Discord server or at forzare with anything.

hey, what's up friends, it's trace and i've finally decided to bring in a second character. so, of course i went and picked the worst person alive. this is takeshi kovacs from altered carbon, a really cool netflix series that's gonna be premiering its second season sometime this year.

anyway, kovacs is over two hundred years old and on his fourth body. in his canon, everyone has a cortical stack in their necks that can be removed from their dead body and implanted in a new one, thus bringing immortality as close as it can be.

as stated above, kovacs is a really terrible person. hard drinking, drug using, crude, rude and insensitive. so, sorry about that in advance, huh? he's also something called an envoy (the last of them, in fact) which, in super simple terms, means he's a super soldier kind of dude.

he's coming from the end of his canon and he's been through a lot of shit which is why i made his power suffering absorption. if you've got an ouchie and he's around, he'll be able to touch you, take some of the pain and make himself more powerful.

oh, he's also a really tall guy just like my other boy. i'm still at spoonishly if you wanna reach me!

i'll be bringing you poe dameron from star wars. he's a gay disaster garbage man, he's a tsundere potato, he's a human yeet, he's a human 100 emoji. all of these are applicable and true.

basically: poe dameron is a fighter pilot for the resistance, a small force trying to overthrow a fascist regime. he's very loyal and can care deeply about almost anyone on the basis of "they said hello to me," but he also has problems with authority, discipline, or listening to anyone else when he decides that his idea is the best one. everything he does, he does at 100%. he has a temper and no impulse control, when he tries to express emotions other than "yeet" it becomes super-clear that his foot has never left his mouth a day in his life.

and his power is kinetic energy manipulation because all he ever wants to do is 💥 blow 💥 things 💥 up 💥

hi I'm Lindsey I'm new and this is jon snow. he's coming in from clockbox, and before that the end of a dance with dragons, he SPOILERS does not know if he's alive or dead in canon, and is v determined to make a nice life in a jamjar with his sister sansa!!!

ANYWAY jon snow is a nice boy who never knows what's going on, he loves his family and the outdoors, he hates haircuts and being unarmed, and he literally has never been in a city before this. his power is a healing factor because he's too stubborn to die, unless grrm is trolling us super hard ig??? please be patient with him he's having a very hard time without his dog :C

hello i am emma and i am bring you lot this fighty space rebel, jyn erso, from rogue one, the star wars prequel that takes place after the prequels... she is small and fierce and will fight anyone for one single potato chip.
