If the characters forget they were brought over - and they will be forgetting if they get absorbed by the AU! - they can be reminded by the other PCs. Some people probably wouldn't care to see out exactly how Project Spinetail brought over the Displaced in their AUs.

Of course, the Displaced could also choose to make this knowledge public!
