Howdy howdy! This was a decently sized app around between both new and older players, so we wanted to use the good ol' mingle post! This is a space for our new players to introduce themselves, as well as our older players to announce their new characters.

Please feel free to have at it! Our CR meme will go up on Friday, so keep an eye out for it! There will be more plot-related tidbits to chatter about there. Also feel free to join the Discord channel if you're up for it.

Hello everyone! I'm Kas, I'm new, and I'm bringing you Maine from Red vs. Blue.

Maine is a 7-foot-tall muscle-bound wall of rage and loyalty. He's extremely taciturn with a violent temper, but he'll throw himself in front of bullets to protect people. Dedicated, bullheaded, heavily influenced by the people around him, and secretly a bit of a dork. Great as an ally, terrifying as an enemy! He has a Complicated Relationship with A.I., and he'll be sssssuper displeased by the stance this world has taken.

Maine's coming in with about 1.5 years of CRAU experience under his belt, so he's relaxed a fair bit and learned a lot about himself. He was previously in a smut game set on a ~sexy space station~. I've opted to fuzz his memories a bit: he won't recall specific partners unless players are 100% on board. (This is unlikely to come up much since he won't recognize mmmmmost of the taken list, but!! Just putting it out there.)

Maine's power is called Feral Mind. It's essentially a berserker power that gives him a boost to speed/reaction time. It also causes him to focus solely on the source of his anger/stress with no regard for the people around him. :') You can read more about it (and about Maine in general) on his info/permissions page. Hey y'all! I'm Jen, a brand new player who ~~thanks to plenty of enabling from ana~~ is bringing in Sypha Belnades from Castlevania!

Sypha is a magician from a world that's got a biiiit of a vampire problem. Just a small one. She comes from a clan called the Speakers, a group of nomadic scholars who maintain an oral tradition and maybe have prophecies from the future? She comes from ye olde europe so all this technology shit is going to be absolutely wild for her. Especially since vampires are usually the ones with the fancy stuff.

Look at that face, isn't she just cute as a button? Don't be fooled, she's a bit of a gremlin who's more than a little impulsive. I'm taking her from the end of season 2 so she's all ready for some fresh adventure.

Sypha's losing all her elemental magic from canon, much to her displeasure, and instead is getting hooked up with Gravity Manipulation in its stead. I'm really looking forward to playing with y'all in the future!

this little darling is a sad sack orphan with buckets of trauma and if you don't know anything about hannibal -- hannibal rhymes with cannibal :D (i have an OPT OUT if anyone wants to avoid the whole soylent green is people thing.) luckily, she isn't exactly going to announce this! the other notable thing is that she is missing her left ear and also has a six inch scar on the left side of her throat. interesting.

she's a daughter of athena and one of those Girls Who Save The World, so she'll be rip-rarin' to get started... you know, saving the world and stuff. or maybe just going on a global food tour with her boyfriend percival. who knows, honestly. i sure don't.

her power is aerial manipulation which is going to seed as the ml equivalent of bubble boy! she'll be able to seize the air around her, a little bit at a time; with practice, one day, she'll be able to grasp the entire sphere at once. maybe one day she'll also roll down a very steep cliff. it's all up in the air. (ha ha.)

HI! I'm Jessi, this is Murphy.

He started out as the main antagonist (unless you count Earth and "grounders" aka EaRthLINgs. Then somehow he became everyone's favorite punching bag. Murphy has a dry sense of humor and says things when it's wildly inappropriate. I'm taking him from the end of season 4 begin of 5, because six was just the worst. IDK maybe I'll update him if I actually finish the last two episodes.

hi buddies, it's mina and i'm bringing you kitty jones from the bartimaeus sequence. she'll be joining the ranks as my second character (i'm already here as melisandre from asoiaf).

anyway!! kitty's from a version of early 2000s london currently ruled by asshole magicians, and all this tech is going to blow her mind just a little bit. she's a very angry sixteen year old, and her main problems in life are fighting the government, having very recently watched the rest of the resistance group get murdered, and finding out that her parents were going to turn her over to the law (where treason isn't a super survivable offence). so it's been a rough few days.

c: she would 100% die for you, she's very loyal, and she's gonna have a bit of a time adjusting to a life where she's not constantly agitating the police (... that's not a promise that she'll keep it that way). she's good with a dagger and even better at pickpocketing, and she could use a friend or five. her power is 'materialised guardian' (aka she has a patronus) – she can summon a lil creature that will take one hit for her or a friend of her choosing. side note: if you're a magician, maybe don't tell her immediately.

he's a demigod (son of poseidon) who sustains himself with sarcasm and carbs. he has done all the damn world-saving he can stomach so catch him napping or minding his business while buildings are on fire. ( he wishes! ) he's actually not that bitter. he will jump into shenanigans with only mild grumbling. not having his hydrokinetic powers and the plethora of others that come with it are going to put him in a Mood. i've given him terrakinesis here as a tie to one aspect of poseidon's domain of power and he's basically going to start off being able to move dust. he's so stoked. housekeeping anyone??? no?

i don't imagine him sitting on his hands for long because boredom and bad impulse control.
