Whew thanks for this great conversation I didn't realize existed until now (I got no notifs save me). I definitely saw that having no opt-out was going to be the hardest part of it, so I think if the mods felt comfortable with musing over this together before anything, possibly a few options could be provided that could be put up to a vote by the player base. Something along the lines of 'yes we want the extreme option' or 'yes but we want the option of maybe stopping the calamity/keeping the area' 'or nah not into it at all.'

Back when I was looking at the game again one of the things I loved was seeing everyone vote IC/OOC for what to do about Judas and that it led to results in-game and it legit was something that made me go 'wow players really have a big say, I'm into it.' I know it would be a lot of work for the mods and people involved, so that's something to think about.

I like the how are we gonna plan to get in there and help them. I like the moral dilemma of whether or not they can or will, especially if the rich are like PEACE OUT and aren't helping, so our characters have to step up potentially. And opt-out could be people were out of the city and then are stuck in concern for the others. Basically everything you two just said I am 100% in for.
