1. Yes, all of the New Amsterdam citizens are in the simulation! However, the VR bots are not VR recreations of citizens of the past. The only one who's a recreation is Ricky Ling, partly because Judas wants people inside of the simulation to torture someone he hates.
1a. Thus, they are not there for interrogating, though Ricky may be if people team up and go after him.
2. Like many people in New Amsterdam proper, they think Ricky Ling is the bee's knees.
3. Characters inside of the simulation will not have inbox/network capabilities in the traditional sense. There is a public, localized network, but it runs the risk of being readable by the people from New Amsterdam who got sucked in alongside the Displaced. We are open to characters engineering a way to communicate with the outside world from inside of the simulation or from outside of it!
4. Yes, they can, but it would be unreliable! We aren't blocking any of the blue-related abilities, but we would like them to be difficult to utilize for a way out.
5. If possible, we'd like for you to come up with a plan to approach the candidates individually, since this would lead to a development of CR between the characters and the NPCs.
6. They can't take neural implants out because, as far as the simulation tells them, there are no neural implants! In addition, there are very few surgeons who have the skillset to remove neural implants without causing irreparable damage. So, while they could seek out a neurosurgeon inside of the simulation, they would find - within the simulation itself - that there isn't an implant to remove in the first place. This attempt to dig one out could lead to temporary death and a restart in bed the next day.
