It is time, to begin asking questions so as to plot more..... forgive the rando links, it's mostly so i have my brain on straight
1. So, the in-simulation bots aren't mechanical. What sort of information can be uncovered about their structure? Namely, do they have a certain "vibe" that would, say, distinguish a real bot from someone (ie. Cheris) who might be mimicking one? Understanding that their Displaced-ian powers are on very shaky grounds, of course.
Cheris would want to attempt to study and copycat one of the simbots, of course. Should this prove successful, do the bots simply roam the city and heckle people, or do they have a hub where they might originate from/return to that could be traced back by following the crowd? She's quite good at pretending to be a) someone she's not and b) part of a collective, after all.
2. Barring that, Cheris's goal is to make a lot of noise. She wants Judas's attention. One, because she feels a great deal of sympathy for sentient tech, and two, because she feels a great deal of sympathy for a tactical AI that's been imprisoned so long it's gone mad. There's some, uh. Big heckin' emotions going on there. She's not looking to befriend Judas, but she wants Judas's eye (more for a long term goal, than anything) and she ultimately wants even scraps of information about the AI -- how they survived, how Judas intends to survive once the UN applies itself to getting Judas back (she'll threaten with that, lmao)... etc.
To accomplish this, she's willing to do any one of several things: make some tactical noise of her own (rapid organization of personnel/supplies, alliances with key NPCs that I'll detail if you deem it, seeking out AI Ricky Ling, etc). She's seeking to be apprehended for an in-simulation audience with Judas or something close to that. What sort of information might she need to seek out to get the ball rolling on such a plan? In terms of "what would Judas even remotely pay attention to" -- I'm thinking a show of tactics in opposition, but I'm not against even more extreme measures.
