once they have broken kurt out, which will presumably be done through joint efforts with akechi, wwx, jyn, and cassian + the outside help with the bombs that are being plotted out slowly and more specifically here, the plan is to focus on rescuing cassius before diving in, but cassian's goal is to save cassius first and then get some of the kurt propaganda up and circulating before the sim ends. if this is not possible, he'll work on the kurt angle after the sim but! i think the plan itself for using kurt can remain fairly the same, and i would like to add this to the propaganda phase header.
i believe his family is in new amsterdam, so they are stuck in the sim: could they persuade him to talk by promising to help his family both while they are inside the sim and when they are free?
essentially they just want a few sentences that would prove he is alive in this moment and that this is not an old message dredged up and faked. it hasn't come up in the plotting thread yet, but if akechi and/or wwx's powers could help coax that along, they might be able to draw it out of him if using his family doesn't convince him.
