Plotting ideas:

A lot of Stephen's already planned activities include dumping people into the Quarry by uncovering secrets, so...

- want a secret to come out or a tense, dangerous series of events to unfold around something your character hoped nobody else would find out? It's safe to assume he could have spied on your character. I got u. Even if all you need is a bridge to pass a secret from one character to another without them ever knowing it's him I can work that out too - he's all about setting up unfortunate situations in other peoples lives for his own entertainment.

PARLIAMENT/CARRION

- he's a big shot, sycophants are welcome to try their luck at gaining favour. he can be a very charismatic, enjoyable person to be around if you're on his good side, and he somehow always knows the exact perfect gift to give or career-enhancing person to introduce you to...

- close circle! most genuine or multi-faceted relationships likely to exist with other Cardinals, but he's also happy to humour and be humoured by Rooks and may have established some firm friendship there depending on how long they've been part of the fold.

- manipulation of the lower tiers. Carrion (and Magpies to a lesser degree) will be easy pickings for playthings - theft of secrets and the use of them to needle away at people are the big themes here.

- I'd like him to have a little collection of snipes, victors and other people of interest he's brought into the Carrion. This can also include people who would really rather not be Carrion but are beholden to him for one reason or another.

- Both elaborate emotional entanglements (to the extent that he's capable) and casual flings are on the table to write into backstories or have as part of existing CR, though he'll by no means be a one person dude here.

- On which note, I'm also open to him having kids dotted about amongst the Parliament if anybody wants high class parentage. Jury's out on whether he'll have been a decent father in this AU.

SHRIKES

Given the nature of his powers and how much time he spends idly perusing the populace, he sees a lot of shit. While he doesn't report it all because a lot of it is basic dull nonsense, he does still make regular contact with the shrikes when something juicy comes up or when it's time to cut a dangling thread once the person on the end of it stops interesting him.

- Stephen will mostly communicate with Shrikes directly into their minds, so if you want your Shrike character to either deal with receiving that kind of interaction for the first time OR be a favourite and regular contact I'm down for either.

OTHER

- I'm also a-ok for less nefarious interactions! He's not necessarily always setting out to be an asshole he's just very old and very bored with no regard for human life. Random acts of kindness would be another way to spice up his day. Maybe he stumbles into your character's mind while they're having a bad time and decides to send them a gift, or stop in for a telepathic chat, or pull some strings to fast track their child permission application or have the cause of their upset lined up for the next Quarry. The world is your oyster.
