Background:
a snipe who has been a fixture in and around the arena for ~10 years.
high-key addicted to powers. using them is pure ecstasy for him, which is apparent every time he's in the arena.
since repeat victors "aren't meant to succeed time after time," there was once an arena designed to attack maine's psychological weaknesses. this arena backfired when, instead of breaking down, maine went full feral murder machine. he's been Not Quite Right ever since.
his talent supervisor leaned hard into the "bad boy" angle from the start, which is good, bc maine has been able to milk that for years.
very hedonistic outside of the arena. indulges in p much anything and everything that he can.
romantic and/or sexual relationships are v common. sometimes they last for a few years, sometimes they only last until maine chucks himself back into the arena. because of said relationships, and since he's held onto his celebrity status for so long without dying horribly, there's a sense that he'll eventually be brought up and become a member of parliament … if he can just stay out of the arena long enough.
