I would love that! As she was climbing the social ladder she probably would've tried to seduce him (and maybe she succeeded), and if he'd been into it, she would've been perfectly willing to marry him. Though, if Nat knows about his sympathies, she'd also be reluctant to hitch her wagon to him.

But I like them as friends. Now that she's engaged, they probably have to work hard to squash any rumors of impropriety. Or. Nat does at any rate.
