I feel like they'd end up more like Rhodey and Tony than Tony and Justin Hammer. Sam's charismatic and self-aware, and smart which checks off a lot of 'must be this bearable to hang' with Tony boxes. Bros that bounce off one another and exponentially make for better shows can and will be a thing!
