I like how you said that you would love him, Simon Laurent is not worthy of love... He needs to learn to um, you know, not desperately try to control people and maybe take responsibility for his bad behavior... That being said, Fenris sounds like really good potential CR for the blond ratman, especially since he may be a cautionary tale! They can relate re: their abandonment issues.
