◉ Our new activity check is now live. We won't be posting a warning list. The activity check will close on March 9 at 12 AM UTC. A link your comment on the most recent HMD will be required to pass AC.

◉ We've changed our hiatus policy so that hiatuses over a week no longer require you to have your character disappear. We hope this keeps people from feeling dissuaded about taking hiatuses when they need to.

NOTABLE NEWS:

◉ Water rationing is still in effect, but will end by October 7 thanks to forecasts of incoming rain. Until the rain hits, New Amsterdam will experience sweltering humidity in the meantime.
◉ The first half of October will be spent gradually transitioning back to daytime hours in New Amsterdam. By the end of day October 15, all of New Amsterdam will be back on traditional hours.
◉ The displaced still need a new safehouse! Once again, these are the following sites: For the displaced who are interested in setting up a new safehouse, El will supply three different sites:

1. Underneath an abandoned sports bar near the New Amsterdam sports stadium. While well-frequented, that means that people can enter and leave the area at ease.
2. An old hover bike mechanic shop. It's in a similarly dilapidated part of town. A lot of the buildings nearby house squatters who can't afford the high rents around the city.
3. A coffee shop on the edge of the financial district that went under 25 years ago. While other businesses have started up and failed here several times, Morningstar scooped up the property in foreclosure about five years ago.

We encourage players to have their characters discuss and determine the best option, and bring a plan to our plot engagement page. None of these sites are ready for this purpose, but each does have an underground unit that can be converted if needed. If you need any additional assistance from us regarding this plot, please let us know!
◉ There are still numerous job openings throughout the city. Many of the highly coveted positions will be filled by the middle of October after intensive interview processes, but many entry level and minimum wage jobs are still open. Since they're far more paranoid, the gangs and mob families will be hesitant to bring people on - so if someone is interested, they should begin playing the long game. By now, they know that their people were (or were rumored to be) Morningstar operatives, so they'll be vetting any newcomers on their thoughts on Morningstar, hoping to keep the UN out of their business.
◉ It's the end of the season for those that have set their credits on the fighting rings, as the title for Champion begins and will last for the next three months as those who want to prove themselves work up through the tiers. This is all done through quiet whispers and word of mouth. A schedule of rotating locations can be provided to those with reputations, promising newcomers, or tenacious individuals who hit up the right drunk with loose lips.
◉ It's time for fall clothing sales! It's a prime time to stock up on basics. With the season ending, the boutiques and small clothing stores around New Amsterdam are setting up for the colder season. While there's not much rotation in fashion from season to season (or even year to year) much anymore, there's a wide-range of long sleeve apparel and cozy jackets made out of an array of synthetic fabrics. Most shops will have a drop off bin for tattered or ripped clothing anyone would be willing to recycle, and often offer deeper discounts for those who are generous.
◉ Pulsar announces their new satellite probe has reached the edge of the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy. Aside from an array of statistics, the probe will also be used to pinpoint new sources of rare metals needed to manufacture some of humanity's more ambitious technologies. There won't be more on the news announcement aside from vague details.

DROPS: The Doctor, Gaby Teller, Achilles, Connor, Hei, Noctis Lucis Caelum, Jake Muller and Bruce Wayne disappeared over the course of the last two IC weeks.
