Hello everyone! Welcome to Meadowlark. We're very excited to get things rolling, and we wanted to have an organized place for everyone to introduce themselves. As a reminder, this is more of a mingle so we start chatting! Our first CR meme will go up on August 11th after everyone has a better idea of how things are going to go in game. The game opens this Saturday, August 4th with a log that will include the arrival process for everyone. So, have at it! We're very excited to meet everyone.

Hi, everyone! My name's Megan and I've been RPing first on LJ and then on DW since I think 2008? So I've been in a looooot of games in that time period with a ton of different characters. I played from book series, tv, and movies, but over the last couple years I've shifted to mainly playing video game characters or OCs.

I've brought Mei-Ling Zhou from the Blizzard first person shooter game, Overwatch here. She's a bright, bubbly scientist who has experienced tragedy in her life, but perseveres. If you're unfamiliar with the canon and have ten minutes to burn, I recommend checking out her animated short: Rise and Shine. Just remember to bring tissues because the heartbreak is real.

I'm bringing Ciri from the Witcher series — more precisely her Witcher 3 counterpart as opposed to books (still... diving through those...). She's a disaster bi who finds herself being pursued for her ~powerful blood~ in her canon. She's pretty smart mouthed, willing to dive into things, and most importantly, awkwardly make friends. :/

hello larkers! my name's kerry and i'm bringing in vanessa ives from penny dreadful. she's a victorian witch who is a wonderful friend to have despite all of the danger and tragedy that her life has entailed, specifically the fact that both dracula and lucifer have tormented her in order to bring about the apocalypse. spoilers: fun was had. vanessa is coming in from the season finale 309 the blessed dark so anyone she meets initially might have a rocky introduction, apologies!

in meadowlark vanessa will have the ability of emotional healing, going along with that good friend vibe, and i've slammed up a plotting/permissions style thing for it here!. i'm excited to see how this builds and develops, particularly with the loss of her usual abilities.

hiya meadowlark!! I’m Danni and I’ll be bringing you two characters from two very different flavors of cyberpunk:


first is Sumio Kodai from the 1999 visual novel/2016 remake The Silver Case, which is a game about cops who suck at their jobs, dystopian government brainwashing conspiracies, crime as a literal (?) virus, and this one guy named Big Dick. as for Sumio, he is a cool, collected noir-style police detective, except not cause he’s been in jail after doing a bit of a revenge thing... whoops. hobbies include swooning over pretty people, wallowing in The Void, pointing out what perfume you’re wearing, and being petty and/or rude just cause he can. his new power is replication, and he’ll start out making temporary copies of himself. i'm sorry for having to explain the metaplot of a Suda51 game to you all in advance.


next is Maeve Millay, from the show Westworld. she’s a robo-homesteader turned robo-brothel madam gone renegade on a mission to escape sexy cowboy Jurassic Park, cause, you know, HBO. Maeve is a 5’3” hurricane: cunning, occasionally ruthless, worryingly ok with dying once or twice if it’s practical, and NOT afraid to remind everybody who’s boss, tyvm. she cares sometimes but don’t tell anybody. she’s got mechanical intuition which is basically the “in a cave with a box of scraps” power: if you need somebody to take some shit apart or put it together again Maeve is your gal!

Hi! I'm Alison, and I'm bringing in two characters from the start.

Clarke Griffin: Clarke is coming from the very beginning of S5, right before she meets the child that becomes her daughter. She's the protagonist of The 100, which ... doesn't mean she's the heroic do-gooder type. Clarke is more hard-edged than your typical protagonist: she's manipulative, cunning, pragmatic, and ruthless. She isn't all hard-edged, though, because she has Her People that she cares about (and she's undoubtedly going to refer to the people caught up in this mess as Her People as a way of trying to pull in numbers to solve problems). She has been isolated up to this point, so being around people will be a sort of relief after the world ended back home.

Keith: Keith is coming from the tail-end of season six of Voltron: Legendary Defender, which means he's grown up into a proper leader and has acquired a mark on his cheek (it's either a scar or a Galran mark). The Galra, for people who aren't familiar with the show, are a purple alien species who decided to subjugate most of the universe. And ... Keith is half-Galran, but his mom was a freedom fighter and awesome. (#catmom!) He's gone through a magical two year age up process, so he's in his early 20s (unlike the rest of the paladins sans Shiro, if you're vaguely aware of them as a whole). He is prickly and bad at people, not great at empathy, but doing His Best. But he is a burgeoning leader and he found his purpose in trying to save the universe.

As for me! I'm a fan of cats, Voltron, The 100, Overwatch (I play a lot and I follow pro-Overwatch—I main Lucio, Zen, and Winston for the most part ... and tanks). I also like baseball, cooking, and medieval history. And cats. I really, really love cats. I have three of them and they are the greatest cats who have ever lived. I'm not biased. I'm currently playing through Breath of the Wild, so that's a thing.

Hello everyone! My name is Zero and I am totally excited to start this party!

I am bringing in Akane Kurashiki from a sci-fi esque series called Zero Escape, about some strange form of time traveling, multiple timelines, robots, all sorts of out there theories, etc, etc. Akane is quite the conspiracy theorist herself and believes in alien existence and would like to tell you all about the Morphogenetic Field Theory. Basically, she’s really out there but she’s also really intelligent when it comes to the maths and sciences. And riddles. She can solve riddles under pressure. I have taken her specifically from the true end of 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors.

Also, ultimately, she is the type of person who wants everyone to get along and be friends. She is her own special creature. She’s pretty kind and friendly herself so she’ll try to get along with everyone.

Her power is ‘item mending and restoring’ meaning if items break or are worn, she can restore them back to the original state. For now she can’t do much, just fix those blasted holes in your clothes and items that are small in nature.
