Hey guys! How are we all doing? Hopefully decently well, considering the circumstances! We had a nice-sized app round yet again, so here's another mingle post! This is a space for our new and old players to introduce themselves and any new characters!

Please feel free to have at it! Our CR meme will go up on Friday, so keep an eye out for it! There will be more plot-related tidbits to chatter about there. Also feel free to join the Discord channel if you're up for it.

Hey, Meadowlarkers! This is Brandon here bringing (2) new character to join the New Amsterdam fold. I currently only play Klaus Mikaelson from the Vampire Diaries-verse. But I'm adding a werewolf and a plain ol' human to the mix!

First up,



William Clayton-Queen is a walking spoiler from the year 2040, hence the user name. It's the son of Oliver Queen and step son of Felicity Smoak, but he was raised by a single mother after that and his grandparents from his early teens on. He's a genius level hacker, incredibly charming, and will still be in over his head in New Amsterdam like woah. His power will be glamouring, first himself for small periods of time and soon, others. He will hopefully come in handy? And get to hacktivisting illegally.

I'm taking him from the last season of Arrow after the episode "Prochnost" where spoilers happen. If you have any questions, or want to know, don't hesitate to ask!

Scott McCall is an optimistic, caring, and compassionate werewolf who was going to go into veterinary school but now tracks down orphaned werewolves and gives them help/adopts them. He is sweet and very loyal and he will take care of everyone he can. He's coming in post series which the latest I've ever played him. Super excited to still be here and to be bringing in two others to party.

Hi all! I'm brand new and coming in with two muses because that is obviously how this app round went with a bunch of us bringing in multiple peoples. Or, in my case, being easily enabled and adoring my enablers.

First off is Kol Mikaelson, coming in from season 3 of The Vampire Diaries.



Basically he's the self proclaimed black sheep of the family. A title he's pretty much kept by being a rather self centered psychopath who will do just about anything for attention. His power is the same kind of magic he's been living without since he became a vampire and will totally be starting his redemption arcfairly dark to begin with.

Isaac Lahey, from Season 3 of Teen Wolf. He's coming in just as he lost the girl he's fallen for, and thought he was heading for London. Instead he's here. Because I'm evil, he has ice elemental magic and will totally hate it.

hi i'm bobby of tim gutterson fame and i'm bringing a new and terrible son to the game!! his name is BARTIMAEUS he is FIVE THOUSAND YEARS OLD and he's a DJINNI who has been enslaved regularly by humans his whole life. he is mightily #OverIt and super magicianphobic. for those in the know, he's coming from the end of golem's eye, although i do plan to canon update at some point! for those not in the know, basically bart is from an alternate universe where magicians (who claim no actual powers themselves) summon entities from another world (i.e. bartimaeus) and constrain them with words of power in order to force them to do their bidding. it sux.

being a djinni comes with many powers to which bartimaeus will no longer have access, including incredibly OP shapeshifting, so for all intents and purposes he will be stuck in the last form he had at his canon point. right now, that's a young egyptian teen boy, whose appearance is based on a boy named ptolemy bartimaeus knew back in egypt in 126 BC (please don't ask him about this, you have to be at least a level 2000 friend to unlock his tragic backstory). HOWEVER: his new power IS much scaled-back shapeshifting. right now all he can do is change his hair/eye colour and he'll need some practice, since it's a slightly different artform to the shapeshifting he's used to. i'm INCREDIBLY open to people underestimating him because he looks like he's about 16, please come at me with all kinds of that! you might also have noticed that he's going by john mandrake on the network, which is a hilarious joke, trust me.

i don't have any cool gifs of bart but have some gifs of salem from sabrina the teenage witch because they're basically the same thing!

count on him to give haircuts and give an anime pose as he introduces himself as the senior hairdresser, loved by locals due to his reasonable prices and quality services. he'll probably tell you he's a hitman, but no one has to know he is a terrible one.

yennefer is an 80-year-old mage who looks real good for her age. it's part of the package, actually, and while she doesn't mind that part, she hates a lot of the rest. and most people. yennefer is cut-throat and self-interested and used to getting her way via chaos — no, literally, that's how her magic works. she channels chaos.

needless to say, she will be jumping in headfirst.

while she'll be angry about losing her magic, she still has all the power of unlimited female rage AND her new power to shapeshift which lets her turn into anybody else that she's seen firsthand for ten minutes.

sup folks! i'm laws, bringing with me a walking, talking human disaster.

tony stark is from earth-616/marvel comics, specifically fraction's invincible iron man run. he just very recently awoke from a self-induced vegetative state with a x number of memories gone (everything post-extremis to partway through the dark reign itself).

aside from his classic (and, dear say, beloved) facial hair, tony currently has a repulsor battery (aka r.t. node) in the center of his chest. it's kind of like the equivalent of a man-made star and it's very shiny. it also runs his entire body and prevents him from going brain dead again with the help of the extremis virus — a bioelectric enhancile that transforms the human body into organic tech. basically, he is the equivalent of a living computer. his mind is able to connect to anything that can be linked or hacked into, which will only be further supported by the neural implant. he is also able to mentally command his iron man suit which he unfortunately does not have with him. (he's very upset about that.)

his new power here is electromagnetic manipulation. it's going to simultaneously freak him out and excite him.

hello!! my name is kai, and i'm getting back into rp after a bit of a hiatus from games with inquisitor trevelyan from dragon age: inquisition. dragon age pcs are varying degrees of malleable, so this one is keira knightley's face and a personality of self-deprecation and booze. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ she's also a transplant from another game (hadriel) so she's already gone through the whole multiverse crisis, which is good for everyone involved.

her power is enhanced charisma, which i like to think of as "video game protagonist power," and it means that with eye contact and intention, she can more easily win people over to her way of thinking (for five minutes at a time)!

HELLO LARKERS it's tona i'm back i used to be here with bobbi morse and dutch and kaldur and once upon a time also james holden weeps but now i am bringing someone 10000% less likely to get involved and be proactive, namely larry trainor from doom patrol



larry is a 90something sad old man who picked up a passenger during a testflight, got horribly burnt and radiated, was drafted into the "bureau of normalcy" and tortured for a bit and eventually got rescued and then spent 60 years in bandages tending to orchids and decidedly not getting involved before the guy who rescued him got himself kidnapped and the ragtag group of powered people he was living with decided to go rescue him and become heroes

he's tired and sad and hates himself a lot but is slowly getting better and learning to accept himself. he's also occasionally played by matt bomer and his power is illusion manipulation so sometimes he'll look like matt bomer still - probably more often as his power progresses.

doom patrol is a pretty wacky canon so larry's going to take the abduction and new universe in stride. at least there are no exploding donkeys involved, so he's good
