HELLO I just finished my show rewatch like, three days ago and now I'm doing a mini reread in anticipation of S5 (halfway through The Churn and gonna focus on a certain someone's NG chapters because I'm that basic). Ever since the S5 trailer dropped I've been very, ah, this is all I care about in life now lmao. It's so wonderful to be in the company of so many Expanse fans )))) I feel like Avasarala appreciation is universal. Except for like, in her universe sometimes lmao.

Oh man I think I'll end up taking you up on your S4 screencaps! (The icons need the beard!) The more I think about it going five weeks with placeholder icons is probably not ideal lmao and I'll have a bit of free time coming up sooo might as well. I was planning on capping S5 eps as they come out too but could maybe end up using your whole batch when it's time to canon update him here!

I'm canonblind to your characters but aaaahh they all sound like fantastic people for Amos to interact with, and cannot wait to do so!!

Yes I am re-reading the fifth book too, which incidentally is my favorite of the whole series so I am SO INCREDIBLY EXCITED FOR SEASON 5. Avasarala is definitely the type of character that is one for the ages, I do love the books but I have to salute the show for understanding from day one that she deserves to be front and center from the start.

The lighting is only good here and there but there's enough in those sections it shouldn't be that hard to get a handful of decent icons! Sci-fi just has horrendous lighting. But yeah I can let you know when I finish the whole batch of five in case you want them.

I think they'd all get along with him to varying degrees haha. Lexa ends up working really well with people who also are bad at small talk and just want to do their own thing with minimal people bothering them.

Mine too! When I was reading through the first time I'd flip ahead a little to see who the POVs were for each book and when I saw who it was for NG it was just. EXCITEMENT. And now it's been adapted! And we get to see that soon!! And oh man yes, I love the books but I love the show a little more for diving right in with the more omnipresent viewpoint and giving us the queen of politics immediately. Everything she adds is good!

Lighting is optional in space/ancient death slug-infested ruins, haha. I'm sure I'll be able to pick out 15 that are actually usable! And absolutely, I'm sure I'll be taking you up on that~

hahaha bless Lexa, he'll love that. I'm really curious to see how his intro threads are gonna play out, if he's just gonna stay mostly detached to start or if someone's gonna remind him of Holden or Naomi and he'll just be like That One.

It's one of those times when I'm really glad that Daniel and Ty are such major parts of the show because you can see how they thought certain things wouldn't work as well in the structure of the book but they want to get much deeper into in the show. I do laugh a lot on twitter when people try to be like the show is better than your books, and they'll reply 'thanks! we write both!' ;)

Oh man yes. Like, it's two different ways of telling the same story, playing to each medium's strengths - and they're both fantastic! And hahaha yeah, I love how they refuse to get dragged down into any petty comparisons or fighting. Ty especially.
