This is simply due to mod availability during the busy holiday period, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. ◉ Players who are accepted in December will only have to make half AC for January. ◉ There will be no CR meme in December. This will be pushed to January, at which point the alternate month schedule between the CR meme and HMD meme will resume. WEATHER: Strong sun, very dry. Highs of 106-108, lows of 95 (F). NOTABLE NEWS: ◉ The extreme heat advisory continues for all citizens of New Amsterdam. Most businesses have summer hours where their employees work through the night and sleep through most of the day. There is a three-day grace period where this change occurs, starting with August 16th. Most businesses - including restaurants, retail shops, and more - open in the late evenings and close before the sun gets high the next day. Water rationing continues to be in effect. In the safehouse, Gaby will explain the change in New Amsterdam hours. She will continue to monitor water usage. She can and will shut off any showers for people that are running far too long. Didn't know she can do that? Well, she can. ◉ The 41st Street fire investigation has not yet concluded, with the NAFD and NACDC working around the clock to try and solve many of the mysteries involved. Around August 17th, the NACDC, in conjunction with Governor Gill-Jade, put out another alert to any New Amsterdam citizens holding carcasses from the June creature attack. All citizens are advised to turn in these carcasses or dispose of them at safe sites. ◉ There are news reports that the great majority of the people who were still affected by the outbreak of infection in New Amsterdam are now healed. There is no information about how this came to be, but citizens have been assured that the infection itself has been proved to not be contagious. ◉ Meanwhile, local authorities - especially NAPD detectives - are working to uncover the mystery behind how these people were healed in the first place, concerned about the possibility of a rising vigilante movement in the city. Many social media accounts with videos of glowing chests and people being healed are deleted, but some footage still manages to circulate through shadier channels. ◉ There is an uptick in heat exhaustion, dehydration, and other heat-related illnesses in various New Amsterdam hospitals. Many of the people in emergency housing tents find it untenable to stay there, and increased pressure on Governor Gill-Jade finally forces her hand in establishing a volunteer task for to bring additional goods to the citizens forced out of their homes as a result of the June creature attack. NOVEMBER DROPS: Finn, Lorna Dane, James Holden, Josephus Miller, Poe Dameron, Stephanie Brown and Tony Stark all disappear around August 16th. > DECEMBER 04 ◉ Applications are processed. > DECEMBER 15 | AUGUST 23 ◉ Arrival log. New characters arrive in New Amsterdam.
